13 January 2010 - Special Prayer Request

Repose of the Soul
Mrs. Martin perished in the Haitian earthquake while attending a medical conference there.  Her son and daughter in law Luke and Sheri Martin live in Pine Valley.  You may recall Luke and Sheri have attended Blessed Trinity's Seder meals for the past few years.  Please pray for the repose of her sould and her family who remain behind, in particular, Luke, Sheri and their children Maya, Frida, David and Olivia.
Healing
John Alexander, III underwent a tonsillectomy on 13 January 2010.  The procedure seems to have been successful, but the medical team is having trouble controlling post surgical bleeding.  Please pray for the team to be inspired by the Holy Ghost that they might think of the way to stop the bleeding.  Please pray for peace of mind for John, his wife and children.
Thanksgiving
Some fifteen years ago, Salamato Kogi and her husband who were living in Nigeria, who had been Muslims, came to know God and His Son, Jesus.  As a result Salamato's husband was killed.  She applied for asylum in the United Kingdom.  Through the efforts of Shamim, then a London based solicitor, she was granted asylum.  She recently tracked Shamim down to thank her one more time.  When asked what she could do for Shamim, Shamin asked her to pray for her.  Asked about her role, Shamim said, “I was only doing what anyone who loves God would do.”  As long as there are people like this, we are headed towards God.
