Maureen’s heart valve replacement surgery is on hold. The fever which delayed surgery has broken. Her white blood cell count is improving, though still very low. There is good news in that the pericardium fluid didn't contain the infection. They think the fluid buildup is a reaction to a change in medications. The surgeon plans to proceed whenever he feels it is optimal, likely within the week. The infection is the limiting factor. Please pray they will find the source of the infection and knock it down. Pray for peace of mind for Maureen, her husband Scott and children.
