18 May 2009 - Special Request

Corinne Cook is undergoing major surgery this week. Please read the attached from her dad and pray for a successful surgical outcome. Pray the surgical team will pay attention and do their best. Pray for peace of heart for Corinne and her family in this very stressful time.

Dear Friends and Family,

Tomorrow we fly to St Louis Children's Hospital where our youngest daughter is having surgery this week. As most of you know Corinne was born very premature (1 Pound). She has undergone previous surgery's for the Cerebral Palsy in her legs. This week she is have a procedure know as Dorsal Rhizotomy. They will remove a section of the vertebra to expose her spinal cord. By use of electrical stimulation they will identify the nerves causing her calf muscles to stay contracted and cut only those nerves. Following the surgery she will have daily physical therapy for four to five months. Doctor Park is the best in the world and has a 99% success rate.

Kathy and Corinne will be in St Louis for the next two weeks, Anna and I will come and go following the surgery. Please include Corinne in your prayers this week, for a successful surgery and speedy recovery.

Best Regards,

TW Cook
